This process from a South Island company can take virtually any image and transfer this to tiles which in turn can be laid as a kitchen splashback or a wall feature panel or insert. This picture shows a vibrant butterfly image transferred to a series of tiles and in turn used as a magnificent splashback. This process is not expensive and this splashback cost less than $600. The images can even be mounted on a board and used as pieces of art. Placing the image over a series of tiles gives the image a real tactile and unique texture. Kitchen Walls 02 Looking for something different then why not try a polished porcelain as a kitchen splashback tile. In this installation a 500x500mm polished porcelain floor tile was cut into 3 and laid in stacked fashion. The tile is Emperador Polished and the effect has been likened to granite bricks without the cost. The edges of the tile need some minor work to keep up appearances but the effort is worth it and the effect stunning and cost effective. In this situation the splashback area complimented the bench top which was formica and of very similar colour. A perfect match.
